As the event of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is approaching, Qatar Central Bank is pleased to announce the issuance of the Official Host Country Coin Program in collaboration with MDM Deutsche Muenzhandelsgesellschaft, Germany, FIFA’s official license holder for coins. The program is featuring a total of 24 commemorative legal tender coins, which will be issued in two series and will be available for sale worldwide including the local market in Qatar.
