Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has issued instructions to all banks operating in the state of Qatar to hold enforcement of Article 580 of the Commercial Law No. 27 of 2006 taking effect on Thursday 13/05/2010 and not to honor any check before the date shown on its face until a special mechanism is established and banks are accordingly informed.
