Financial Affairs is a pivotal and vital Department at Qatar Central Bank. It conducts all financial and accounting operations and prepares periodic financial and administrative reports for the Bank to achieve strategic objectives under the governing legislations and regulations.

and accounting operations and prepares periodic financial and administrative
reports for the QCB to achieve strategic objectives under the governing
legislations and regulations.
Financial Affairs primarily focuses on the following tasks and responsibilities:
1. Implementing the laws, regulations, policies, and bylaws related to the QCB's financial affairs.
2. Identifying and developing the financial management strategy and objectives in alignment with the QCB's strategic plan.
3. Preparing and executing the QCB's budget, preparing financial reports related to its implementation, and performance monitoring reports.
4. Managing the QCB's COA (Chart of Accounts), preparing all financial reports and final accounts according to approved by laws, regulations, laws, and related accounting standards.
5. Recording and monitoring all transactions of the QCB's investment portfolio and transactions with local banks, the Ministry of Finance, central banks, international funds, and issuance operations according to approved regulations and rules.
6. Conducting reconciliations and settlements, and specifically monitoring advance payment and custodial accounts, as well as all other types of the QCB's accounts.
7. Handling and monitoring the payment of all dues to third parties in accordance with approved regulations and rules.
8. Proposing procedures and means necessary for improving the Department's operations and enhancing employee efficiency.
9. Dealing with the QCB's external auditors and following up on observations and recommendations.
10. Proposing the annual work plan for the activities to be carried out by the Department during the coming year and any modifications to this plan during the year.
11. Participating in preparing the QCB's annual report concerning the activities of the Department and its business results.
12. Any other tasks and duties assigned to the department within its scope of responsibility.
